BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-30M-PS-BO cavo InfiniBand/fibra ottica 30m maschio/maschio

The BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-30M-PS-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable is a 30 metre Active Optical Cable (AOC) with QSFP male connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed multi-mode fiber links. It supports 40G data transmission in applications that follow the 40GBASE-SR4/ QSFP AOC MSA profiles and integrates a transmitter and receiver at each connector end for simultaneous send/receive optical signaling. The cable is factory-assembled to provide a pre-terminated fiber link that eliminates field splicing and patching and reduces insertion loss compared with patch-corded solutions.

Advantages

The BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-30M-PS-BO offers high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity over a 30 m reach while remaining immune to electromagnetic interference typical of copper solutions. As a QSFP-to-QSFP active optical cable, it provides integrated transceivers and supports digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time operational parameters such as voltage, temperature and optical power. The cable is manufactured to MSA-compliant mechanical and electrical specifications and is intended to work with hardware platforms that support the corresponding 40G AOC interfaces.

Suitable for

• Data center uplinks between switches and routers
• High-performance computing and InfiniBand clusters
• Storage area networks and high-speed SAN interconnects
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch 40G links within racks or across short campus connections

Key specifications

• Form factor: QSFP to QSFP active optical cable (male/male)
• Length: 30 metres
• Supported data rate: up to 40 Gbit/s
• Fiber type: multi-mode fiber with integrated optical transceivers
• Compliance: QSFP AOC MSA mechanical and electrical profiles
• Monitoring: Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) compatible
• Typical applications: Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, InfiniBand, SDH/SONET up to 40G

How to use

Install the BlueOptics QSFP-AOC-30M-PS-BO by plugging each QSFP male connector into the QSFP ports of the devices to be linked while both devices are powered down or as recommended by your equipment vendor. After insertion, verify that the host hardware recognizes the AOC and, if required, enable or validate the DDM/DOM reporting in the device management interface. Because the cable is pre-terminated, no field fiber termination or cleaning of patch cords is needed; follow standard site cabling practices to secure and route the cable to avoid tight bends or mechanical stress.

Recommendations

Use the cable within the specified bend radius and avoid repeated flexing. Confirm that the connected equipment supports QSFP AOC modules and DDM/DOM if diagnostics are required. For optimal performance, route the cable away from sources of mechanical strain and ensure connectors are free of dust before insertion.
