Cavo di rete shiverpeaks BASIC-S 0,5 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S networking cable 0.5 m Cat7 S/FTP is a short patch cable designed for reliable, high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. With Cat7 classification and S/FTP shielding, the cable supports high bandwidth and reduces electromagnetic interference. RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts ensure stable signal transfer and corrosion resistance. The cable comes in a black jacket that fits typical rack, switch and desktop environments while keeping a compact footprint.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield with individually foiled twisted pairs to deliver strong protection against crosstalk and external noise. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve conductivity and reduce contact wear for longer connector life. Its 0.5 m length minimises excess cable when connecting closely placed devices, improving airflow and organisation. The Cat7 rating permits higher frequencies and supports modern gigabit and multi-gigabit networking requirements.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches, patch panels and servers
• Connecting network devices in crowded racks or desk setups
• High-speed Ethernet links in home offices and small business networks
• Areas requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and reliable data transfer

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually foiled pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact finish: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: black

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network port until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use the 0.5 m cable for short-distance links where minimal slack is desired. Avoid sharp bends or kinks near the connector ends to maintain signal integrity. If routing through cable management or panels, ensure the cable is not pinched and is supported to prevent stress on connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable within structured cabling systems that match or exceed Cat7 performance; keep cable runs short for patching between adjacent equipment; avoid running alongside high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference.
