Cavo in fibra ottica C2G 85589 LC a SC 5 m OFNR 9 µm giallo full duplex

C2G 85589 is a 5 m single-mode fibre optic patch cable with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other. The cable features a 9 µm core for single-mode links and a yellow OFNR jacket for easy identification in data centre and telecom environments. It supports full-duplex transmission and is intended for network interconnects, patch panels and equipment links.

Advantages

The OFNR jacket provides a cost-effective way to achieve high bandwidth and reliable transmission over longer distances while meeting flame-retardant requirements for riser installations. The LSZH-style benefits described in the source (reduced smoke and halogen emissions) are supplemented by a patented injection-moulded connector interface that improves resistance to pulls, strains and impacts during installation. Each cable is optically inspected and tested for insertion loss to ensure consistent performance, and the single-mode 9/125 µm fibre is immune to electrical interference.

How to use

Connect the LC end to the LC port and the SC end to the SC port on the corresponding network equipment, patch panel or transceiver. Route the cable through rack channels or cable management troughs, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; the injection-moulded connector provides improved strain resistance but standard handling precautions should still be observed. Verify link integrity with appropriate optical test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Use this single-mode LC to SC fibre patch cable for indoor riser installations and structured cabling where OFNR-rated jackets are required. Avoid exposure to corrosive chemicals and maintain bend radii recommended by the equipment or cable manufacturer to preserve optical performance.
