Cavo in fibra ottica DeLOCK 84696 2x LC 2x ST OS2 10 m giallo

The DeLOCK 84696 is a 10 m fibre optic cable with 2x LC connectors on one end and 2x ST connectors on the other. It uses OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9 µm core diameter, designed to provide low attenuation and stable high-speed data transmission over longer distances. The cable is yellow and intended for connecting networking equipment such as switches, media converters and other compatible devices.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable combines LC and ST terminations to offer flexible connectivity between devices with different connector types. The OS2 single-mode construction with a 9 µm core reduces signal loss and supports long-distance links. The 10 m length gives comfortable reach in rack and equipment-room installations while the bright yellow jacket makes the cable easy to identify.

Suitable for

• Connecting a switch to a media converter
• Interconnecting network devices in server rooms and data centres
• InfiniBand and other long-distance single-mode links

• EAN: 4043619846962
• Cable length: 10 m
• Connectors: 2x LC to 2x ST
• Fibre type: OS2 (single-mode)
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Colour: Yellow

How to use

Ensure both devices are powered off or follow hot-plug guidelines for your equipment. Align and insert the LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports and the ST connectors into the ST ports until they click or lock into place. Avoid bending the cable sharply; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to prevent increased attenuation or fibre damage. If necessary, secure the cable along cable management paths to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Keep fibre endfaces covered with protective caps when not in use and clean connectors with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool before connection to maintain signal quality. Use this OS2 single-mode cable for long-reach links rather than multimode applications.
