Cavo in fibra ottica MPO BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-OM4-1M 1 m OM4

The BlueOptics CBL-MPO12-OM4-1M is a 1m MPO fibre optic cable engineered for high-density, high-speed network connections. Built with OM4 multimode fibre and a 125 µm core diameter, this cable supports reliable short-range transmission in data centers, server rooms and structured cabling systems. The MPO12 connector format provides multi-fiber termination in a compact form, simplifying parallel optics links and trunking between equipment racks.

Advantages

This MPO fibre cable delivers consistent multimode performance with reduced attenuation and enhanced modal bandwidth thanks to OM4 construction. Its 1 meter length is suitable for neat, low-loss patching in top-of-rack or inter-rack connections. The compact MPO12 connector reduces cable bulk and speeds installation for parallel optics applications, while the standard 125 µm core ensures compatibility with common multimode transceivers and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Short-range links in data centers and server rooms
• Parallel optics and MPO-to-MPO trunking
• Interconnects between transceivers, patch panels and optical distribution frames
• High-bandwidth applications such as 40G/100G breakout or aggregated links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Connector: MPO12 (12-fiber MPO)
• Length: 1 meter
• Core diameter: 125 µm
• Application range: short-reach multimode links and parallel optics

How to use

Route the MPO cable between the designated MPO ports on patch panels, transceivers or cassette modules, taking care to maintain bend radius limits and avoid excessive pulling tension. Align the MPO connector keying to the port orientation and fully seat the connector until the latch engages. For multi-fiber runs that will be broken out to duplex LC or other interfaces, use compatible MPO-to-LC cassettes or breakout harnesses. Test the link with appropriate multimode test equipment after installation to verify loss and polarity.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM4 MPO cable in clean conditions to prevent contamination of connector end faces; clean end faces before connection and use dust caps when the cable is idle. For best performance in high-bandwidth environments, keep cable lengths as short as practical, observe bend-radius specifications, and pair with compatible OM4-rated transceivers and patching hardware.
