Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik O0310.40 40 m LC arancione

The EFB Elektronik O0310.40 is a 40 m OM2 multimode fibre optic cable with LC connectors and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for structured cabling and high-speed short- to medium-range links, the orange jacket provides clear visual identification for organized installations. The cable supports multimode transmission characteristics typical for OM2, making it suitable for data centre patching, interconnects between active equipment and backbone segments where multimode performance is required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable combines standardized OM2 multimode performance with LC duplex terminations to enable reliable high-speed connections over short to medium distances. The 50 µm core diameter offers compatibility with a wide range of multimode transceivers and patch panels. The 40 m length reduces the need for intermediate patch points in moderate-size installations, while the orange jacket simplifies cable management and identification in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and horizontal cabling
• Interconnects between switches, servers and storage arrays
• Backbone and riser links in enterprise networks
• Laboratory and testbench multimode fibre connections

Key specifications

• Length: 40 m
• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC (duplex)
• Jacket colour: Orange

How to use

Inspect connectors and cable ends for cleanliness before installation. Route the cable along planned cable trays or conduits, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. Terminate the LC connectors into compatible LC duplex ports on transceivers, patch panels or network devices. Use appropriate cable management (ties, trays, labels) to prevent strain on the connectors and to preserve signal integrity over time.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep connectors clean using approved fibre cleaning tools and inspect links with a visual fault locator or power meter after installation. Avoid splicing or re-terminating unless performed by trained personnel. Select multimode transceivers matched to OM2 specifications and observe distance limits for the intended data rate to ensure reliable operation.
