Cavo in fibra ottica EFB Elektronik O7413.15 15 m SC turchese

The EFB Elektronik O7413.15 is a 15 m OM3 fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full duplex operation, this turquoise-coloured patch cable supports high-speed multimode transmission while maintaining signal integrity across moderate distances. Its jacket and connector construction are intended for repeated insertion in racks and panels used in data centres, server rooms and structured cabling systems.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides consistent multimode performance optimized for OM3 applications, enabling reliable data transfer for Ethernet and storage networking. The SC connectors offer stable mechanical coupling and low insertion loss, and the 15 m length suits medium-run connections without the need for splices. The turquoise jacket improves visibility and helps with cable identification in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches, patch panels and transceivers in data centres
• Server room backbone and horizontal connections for multimode links
• Storage area network links and high-speed Ethernet up to OM3 range
• Laboratory and test setups requiring standardized SC-terminated multimode cable

Key specifications

• Cable type: Multimode fibre (OM3)
• Length: 15 m
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC — both ends, simplex/full duplex ready
• Colour: Turquoise
• Transmission: Full duplex multimode optical link

How to use

Route the cable through the intended channels or trays and avoid sharp bends below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Insert the SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports on switches, patch panels or transceivers until they click into place. Verify link status and perform an optical loss or continuity test if required to confirm correct installation. If relocating equipment, disconnect by pressing the SC latch and gently pulling the connector straight out.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to prevent kinks, excessive tension or exposure to contaminants on the connector endfaces. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools before mating. Use suitable cable management to minimise stress on connectors and maintain bend radii for reliable long-term operation.
