Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics 40G-AOC-QSFP1M-BO 1 m QSFP aqua

The BlueOptics 40G-AOC-QSFP1M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 1 m QSFP Aqua colour is a 1-metre active optical cable designed for short-range, high-bandwidth connections. Equipped with QSFP male connectors on both ends, this cable supports 40 Gigabit data rates suitable for data center interconnects, server-to-switch links and high-performance computing clusters. The aqua-coloured jacket and compact QSFP form factor help with quick visual identification and dense port deployments.

Advantages

This 1 m BlueOptics AOC delivers low-latency, high-throughput performance without the electromagnetic interference typical of copper cables. As an active optical cable, it integrates transceivers into the cable assembly to simplify installation and reduce the number of separate modules required. The QSFP connector standard ensures compatibility with equipment supporting 40G QSFP interfaces and enables high-density aggregation in racks and switches.

Suitable for

• 40 Gb/s links between switches and aggregation devices in data centers
• Server-to-switch connections in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
• Short-reach interconnects in storage networks and cluster fabrics

Key specifications

• Length: 1 metre
• Connector type: QSFP male to QSFP male
• Data rate: 40 Gbit/s
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Colour: Aqua
• Form factor: QSFP
• Application: Short-reach InfiniBand and Ethernet interconnects

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible QSFP ports and support 40G links before installation. Insert each QSFP connector into the corresponding port until it clicks into place, following equipment vendor guidelines for hot-plugging. Verify link status through the host or switch management interface and monitor for proper negotiation of speed and link health. For removal, depress the connector latch (if present) and pull straight out to avoid stressing the cable ends.

Recommendations

The cable is intended for indoor data centre and rack environments; avoid tight bends, kinks and exposure to liquids. Route the cable to maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and secure it to prevent strain on the QSFP connectors. Use in compatible 40G QSFP ports and verify support for AOC assemblies in host firmware or switch configuration.
