Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics SFP3131FU15MK 15 m LC OM4

BlueOptics SFP3131FU15MK is a 15 meter duplex fiber optic patch cord with LC/UPC to LC/UPC connectors and laser-optimized multi-mode OM4 fiber (G50/125 µm) in magenta. It is intended for high-speed data links such as InfiniBand and supports 850 nm transmission. The cable has an LSZH flame-retardant jacket and is available in multiple lengths; the 15 m version connects patch panel ports, optical transceivers or other LC-equipped devices.

Advantages

The OM4 laser-optimized multi-mode fiber offers low attenuation (2.5 dB/km) and low insertion loss combined with high return loss. Connectors use zirconia ceramic ferrules from reputable manufacturers for reliable mating up to 1500 cycles. Each cable is tested with interferometry and OTDR and supplied with a measurement report for insertion loss and return loss. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic fumes in case of fire.

How to use

Route the 15 m LC-LC OM4 duplex patch cord between the LC ports of the devices to be connected, ensuring correct polarity for duplex links. Remove protective caps from the LC connectors before insertion and avoid touching the ferrule endfaces. Insert each LC connector until it clicks into the adapter or transceiver port. After installation, verify the link with appropriate transceiver diagnostics or an OTDR if detailed measurements are required.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable carefully to avoid tight bends; respect the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for OM4 fibers. Clean connector endfaces with an appropriate fiber cleaning tool before each connection and request the supplied measurement report to confirm performance when integrating into critical networks.
