Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics SFP8181EU5MK 5 m LC aqua

The BlueOptics SFP8181EU5MK InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5 m LC Aqua is a pre-terminated duplex multimode patch cable designed for high-speed network links. It uses OM3 grade multimode fibre with a 125 µm core diameter and LC duplex connectors in an aqua jacket, providing a compact connection option for InfiniBand switches, host adapters and server transceivers. The 5 metre length offers flexibility for short to medium reach connections inside racks and equipment cabinets.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable supports high-bandwidth multimode transmission with low insertion loss and consistent signal integrity thanks to OM3 specification. The LC connector format ensures reliable mating with LC ports common on InfiniBand transceivers and high-density panels. The aqua jacket provides visual identification of OM3 multimode cable and protects the fibre while remaining flexible for typical data centre routing.

How to use

Route the cable along rack management paths to avoid tight bends and strain. Align and insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC port until it clicks, ensuring duplex orientation is correct for transmit/receive pairs. Avoid exposing connectors to dust by using dust caps until installation and keep the cable clear of cable bends that exceed the recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre.

Recommendations

For best performance, maintain clean connector endfaces using fibre cleaning tools before mating, observe recommended bend radius limits, and secure the cable with appropriate management clips. Use this OM3 cable for short to medium length links where multimode InfiniBand connectivity is required.
