Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics X66260-5-BO 5 m LC giallo

The BlueOptics X66260-5-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5 m LC Yellow is a 5-metre single-mode patch cable designed for high-speed InfiniBand and optical networking connections. It features LC to LC connectors and uses G.657.A1 single-mode fibre with a 125 µm core, supporting full duplex communication for low-loss signal transmission between patch panels, transceivers and network devices. The cable comes with an LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) sheath and is supplied with factory test results for input loss and return loss.

Advantages

This BlueOptics cable offers low attenuation and high return loss values suitable for demanding optical links. Components are selected from established manufacturers and the cable uses a zirconia ceramic ferrule designed for up to 1500 mating cycles. End-to-end testing with interferometry and OTDR ensures consistent performance, and the flame-retardant LSZH sheath reduces smoke and eliminates halogen emissions in the event of fire.

How to use

Handle the fibre cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends to maintain the minimum bend radius specified for G.657.A1 fibre. Insert LC connectors into compatible LC sockets on patch panels or transceivers until they click into place. For removal, depress the latch on the LC connector and pull straight out. Use the supplied test report to verify insertion loss and return loss after installation if required.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain proper bend radius and secure the cable with appropriate management hardware. When deploying in spaces with fire-safety requirements, use the LSZH sheath to minimise smoke and halogen release. If improved return loss is required, consult fibre polishing or APC alternatives with a specialist, and verify link performance with optical test equipment after installation.
