Cavo in fibra ottica METZ CONNECT 151J1EOEO10E 2x SC OM3 1 m aqua

The METZ CONNECT 151J1EOEO10E 2x SC OM3 1 m Aqua is a single-length multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for short-distance high-bandwidth connections. It uses OM3 grade glass with a 50 µm core diameter and SC duplex connectors at both ends. The aqua-coloured jacket and industry-standard SC termination make this 1 m cable suitable for structured cabling systems, data centre interconnects and InfiniBand links where predictable optical performance is required.

Advantages

This OM3 multimode cable delivers stable optical transmission with low insertion loss and reliable connector performance due to factory-terminated SC connectors. The 50 µm core supports 10 Gb/s and higher data rates over short to medium distances when used with compatible transceivers. The compact 1 m length reduces excess cable slack in rack or patch panels and the aqua jacket provides visual identification for OM3 multimode links.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches, servers and storage
• InfiniBand short-range connections
• Structured cabling backbone and horizontal links in telecom rooms
• Patch panels and fibre enclosures

Key specifications

• Cable type: Multimode fibre (OM3)
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (duplex)
• Length: 1 m
• Jacket colour: Aqua
• Typical use: Short- to medium-distance high-bandwidth links

How to use

Connect each SC connector to the corresponding SC adapter or transceiver port, ensuring proper orientation and dust-free end faces. Route the 1 m cable without tight bends and avoid compressing the jacket to maintain optical performance. For installation, verify link light/activity on connected equipment and, if necessary, perform attenuation or continuity checks with an appropriate tester before placing the link into production.

Recommendations

Store and handle the fibre cable in a clean environment; always use protective caps when connectors are not mated and clean connector end faces with suitable fibre cleaning tools. Match OM3 cable with compatible multimode transceivers and patch panels to achieve expected data rates and link budgets.
