Cavo in fibra ottica ROLINE 21158846 7 m LC blu giallo

The ROLINE 21158846 7 m LC Blue Yellow is an OS2 single-mode fibre optic patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission. It features LC connectors on both ends and a 9 µm core diameter, which supports low attenuation over longer distances. The cable's blue and yellow color coding helps with visual identification and cable management in structured networking environments such as data centres and telecommunication racks.

Advantages

This OS2 fibre optic cable delivers low signal loss and consistent transmission performance thanks to its 9 µm single-mode core construction. The use of LC connectors ensures compact, reliable connections compatible with a wide range of modern networking equipment. The 7 m length provides flexibility for routing between racks or equipment while the two-color outer jacket simplifies identification and reduces the risk of mispatching during maintenance.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects and patch panels
• Telecommunications cabinets and server racks
• Long-distance single-mode fibre links within buildings
• Environments requiring clear cable identification and organized cabling

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Connector type: LC to LC
• Length: 7 m
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Jacket colours: blue and yellow
• Typical application: patch cable for networks and telecoms

How to use

Connect one LC connector into the appropriate LC receptacle on the network device or patch panel and insert the other LC connector into the corresponding port at the opposite end. Ensure that dust caps are removed just before insertion and that connectors are clean to maintain optimal signal quality. Route the cable along cable management paths to avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for single-mode fibre to prevent increased attenuation or damage.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, inspect and clean LC connectors before each connection, avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, and use the colour coding to maintain consistent port documentation. Use appropriate strain relief and routing accessories in data centres to protect the fibre and simplify maintenance.
