Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 07-510215 1 m

The ShiverPeaks Fibre Optic Cable S/CONN 07-510215 is a 1 m OM5 multimode patch cable with SC connectors on both ends, designed for full duplex high-speed data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter, this cable is suitable for short- to medium-range optical links in data centers and enterprise networks, providing low attenuation and consistent signal integrity for modern networking equipment.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre optic cable offers high bandwidth capacity and compatibility with multimode transceivers, enabling efficient transmission of large data volumes. The SC connectors provide secure, easy-to-install terminations that ensure stable connections and low insertion loss. The 1 m length minimizes excess cabling in racks and patch panels, contributing to improved cable management and reduced signal reflections.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and rack-to-rack connections
• Enterprise network backbone and aggregation links
• High-speed storage area networks (SAN) and server interconnects
• Short- to medium-reach multimode optical links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC
• Length: 1 m
• Mode: Full duplex
• Typical application: Data centre and enterprise networking

How to use

Install the cable by aligning each SC connector with the corresponding SC duplex adapter or transceiver port until it clicks into place. Ensure connectors and adapters are clean before mating to avoid increased attenuation; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Route the 1 m cable through patch panels or cable management trays with gentle bends, keeping bend radius within manufacturer-recommended limits to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment, avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile stress, and inspect connector endfaces periodically. Use the cable for multimode links within recommended distances for OM5 deployments and pair it with compatible multimode transceivers and SC adapters for optimal results.
