Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 07-510615 7,5 m

The ShiverPeaks Fibre Optic Cable S/CONN 07-510615 7.5m is a 7.5 metre OM5 multimode fibre patch cable with SC connectors on both ends. With a 50 µm core diameter and full duplex configuration, this cable is designed for high-speed data transmission in networking environments where low attenuation and wide bandwidth are required. It is suitable for structured cabling in data centres, server rooms and enterprise networks where OM5 performance characteristics are needed.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable provides high bandwidth for short- to medium-range high-density links, reduced modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, and consistent performance for parallel optics and wavelength-division applications. The SC connectors ensure reliable, repeatable connections and simple hot-pluggable installation. The 7.5 m length offers flexible reach for rack-to-rack and patch panel connections without excessive slack.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between switches, transceivers and patch panels
• High-speed enterprise LAN links and aggregation
• Server-to-switch connections in rack deployments
• Applications using multimode parallel optics and shortwave wavelength-division multiplexing

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Configuration: full duplex
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Typical use: multimode short- to medium-range data links

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before connecting and clean with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool if necessary. Align and insert each SC connector into the corresponding adapter or transceiver until it clicks; ensure full duplex orientation is correct for transmit and receive pairs. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintaining the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. When disconnecting, press the SC latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the connector or adaptor.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM5 fibre cable in combination with compatible multimode transceivers and OM5-rated patch panels. Keep connectors covered when not in use, avoid tight bends and excessive tension, and verify link performance with an appropriate test instrument after installation.
