Cavo in fibra ottica S/CONN ShiverPeaks 07-510715 10 m

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 07-510715 10 m OM5 fibre optic cable with SC connectors provides a duplex multimode connection for high-speed data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM5 multimode specification, this 10 metre cable is designed for use in structured cabling systems, network racks and data center links where consistent throughput and low attenuation are required. Both ends are terminated with SC connectors to allow push-pull mating and quick installation into compatible network equipment.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable supports wideband multimode operation and is suitable for short- to medium-reach high-bandwidth links, offering low insertion loss and reliable signal integrity over the 10 m length. The SC connectors provide robust mechanical engagement and stable optical performance during repeated insertions. The 50 µm core supports industry-standard multimode transceivers and allows for reliable full duplex communication.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections in data centers
• Patching in telecom and enterprise network panels
• High-bandwidth applications requiring multimode fibre
• Testing and temporary installations where a 10 m patch cable is needed

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC
• Cable length: 10 m
• Mode: Duplex multimode
• Typical use: Data center and structured cabling

How to use

Install the cable by aligning and inserting the SC connectors into the appropriate adapter or port until the latch engages. Use the cable for full duplex optical links by connecting each end to the corresponding transmit and receive ports on network devices. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain bend radius recommendations from network equipment manufacturers to prevent increased attenuation or physical damage.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep connector end-faces clean and inspect with an optical inspection tool prior to mating. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable in cable management systems. Use compatible OM5 multimode transceivers and ensure patch panel ports are properly labelled to maintain correct duplex orientation.
