Cavo in fibra ottica ShiverPeaks BS07-500915 20 m LC verde

The ShiverPeaks BS07-500915 20 m LC Green is an OM5 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter, designed for full duplex high-speed data transmission over short to medium distances. Engineered for environments that require consistent signal integrity and low insertion loss, this green-jacketed cable is suitable for structured cabling in data centers, telecommunications racks and high-bandwidth network links. The cable supports standardized multimode wavelengths and is optimized to carry shortwave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) signals where applicable.

Advantages

The cable provides a 50 µm multimode core that balances ease of termination with high modal bandwidth for modern data-center applications. LC connector interfaces on both ends deliver compact duplex connections compatible with common transceivers and patch panels. Its 20 m length reduces the need for additional patching, while the green outer jacket identifies OM5 multimode performance and assists with cable management. The design focuses on low attenuation and reliable mating cycles to ensure consistent network performance.

Suitable for

• Data center horizontal and equipment interconnects
• High-bandwidth server and switch uplinks
• Telecommunication racks and patch panels
• Shortwave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) applications
• Multimode fibre infrastructure upgrades

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC, duplex
• Length: 20 m
• Jacket colour: green (OM5 identification)
• Transmission mode: full duplex
• Typical use: short to medium reach multimode links

How to use

Install the fibre optic cable by aligning and inserting the LC connectors into compatible LC ports on transceivers, patch panels or switches until they click into place. Route the cable following standard fibre handling practices: avoid sharp bends, maintain minimum bend radius, and secure the cable with appropriate ties or management hardware to prevent strain on the connectors. For polarity, ensure duplex pairs match the transmit and receive ports on both ends to maintain full duplex communication.

Recommendations

Store and install the cable in a clean environment; keep connector end faces protected with dust caps until final connection. Use appropriate transceivers and test equipment matched to OM5 multimode specifications for verification of insertion loss and channel performance. Avoid exceeding recommended bend radius and minimize repeated flexing to preserve long-term signal quality.
