Cavo in fibra ottica shiverpeaks BS77911 1 m SC ST arancione

The ShiverPeaks BS77911 fibre optic cable is a 1 m duplex patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in structured networks. It uses OM2 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and is fitted with SC and ST connectors to support side-by-side equipment connections and cross-connections. The cable's orange jacket identifies it as multimode fibre and helps with visual management in patch panels and cable runs.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides stable full-duplex communication with low attenuation across short to medium distances. The combination of SC and ST connectors offers compatibility with equipment using either connector style, simplifying integration into existing network infrastructure. The 50 µm core OM2 fibre enables reliable transmission at typical multimode wavelengths, and the 1 m length is convenient for patching between adjacent devices or within racks.

Suitable for

• Patch connections between network switches, transceivers and patch panels
• Data centre and server rack short-reach links
• Telecommunications closets and campus backbone cross-connects
• Laboratory testing and equipment interconnects

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 1 m
• Connector A: SC
• Connector B: ST
• Full-duplex (duplex/pair) configuration
• Jacket colour: orange (multimode identification)

How to use

Connect the SC end to the corresponding SC port and the ST end to the ST-style port on the remote device, ensuring secure seating of each connector. Handle the fibre gently, avoid sharp bends and do not apply excessive tension to the cable. Use appropriate cleaning procedures for connector endfaces before mating to minimise insertion loss and maintain signal integrity. Verify link status and optical power levels after installation to confirm correct operation.

Recommendations

For best results, use this OM2 multimode cable for short to medium distance links within racks or between nearby equipment. Keep bend radius within manufacturer guidelines, store with protective caps on unused connectors, and clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools prior to connection.
