Cavo jumper in fibra ottica ROLINE 50/125µm LC/ST OM4 lilla 2 m

The ROLINE Fibre Optic Jumper Cable ROLINE 50/125µm LC/ST OM4 purple 2 m is a duplex OM4 multimode patch cable with a 50 µm core and LC to ST connectors. Designed for OM4 applications, this 2-meter cable supports high-speed Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF links and is color-coded purple for easy identification in racks and cabling infrastructure.

Advantages

OM4 multimode fiber provides extended laser-optimized bandwidth (4700 MHz·km) that improves system performance for both current 1 and 10 Gbit/s applications and future 40 and 100 Gbit/s systems. The cable’s LC to ST connector configuration and 2 m length enable simple, reliable patching in data centers and equipment rooms while the purple jacket indicates OM4 specification for quick management and replacement.

Suitable for

• 10 Gbit/s Ethernet links up to 550 meters (building backbones)
• 40 Gbit/s and short-reach 100 Gbit/s systems in data centers
• Fibre Channel and OIF applications
• Patching between LC and ST ports in telecom and server racks

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode (50/125 µm)
• Bandwidth: laser-optimized 4700 MHz·km
• Connectors: LC to ST (duplex)
• Length: 2 m
• Color: purple (OM4 identification)
• Manufacturer: ROLINE, MPN 21.15.8772, EAN 7611990196425

How to use

Connect the LC connector to an LC-equipped transceiver or patch panel port and the ST connector to the corresponding ST port, ensuring correct polarity for duplex operation. Route the 2 m jumper without tight bends or kinks, maintain appropriate bend radius for multimode fiber, and secure the cable to cable management features to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance in 10 Gbit/s links, use OM4-jacketed patch cords for short- to medium-reach runs in data centers and campus backbones; verify connector cleanliness before mating and follow manufacturer guidelines for installation and testing.
