Cavo jumper in fibra ottica ROLINE LC/LC OM4 20m 50/125µm viola

The ROLINE Fibre Optic Jumper Cable LC/LC OM4 20m is a duplex 50/125 µm multimode fiber patch cable optimized for laser sources and extended bandwidth applications. With OM4 specifications and LC connectors on both ends, this 20‑meter purple cable is suitable for high‑speed links in data centers, building backbones and campus networks, offering low insertion loss and good return loss due to high-quality fibres and connectors and careful assembly.

Advantages

OM4 multimode fiber provides a laser bandwidth of 4700 MHz·km, exceeding IEEE requirements for 10 Gbit/s over 300 meters and supporting extended reaches such as 550 meters at 10 Gbit/s. The duplex LC/LC assembly ensures simple, standardized connections with minimal signal degradation. The cable’s 50/125 µm geometry makes it compatible with Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF applications, while the durable jacket and flexible construction facilitate installation in racks and conduit.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• High-speed connections in data centers and server rooms
• Building backbones and medium-length campus networks
• 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s and 100 Gbit/s multimode links (shorter reaches for 100 Gbit/s)
• Connections between switches, patch panels and transceivers using LC interfaces

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode, 50/125 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Length: 20 m
• Color: Purple
• Laser bandwidth: 4700 MHz·km
• Supports: Ethernet, Fibre Channel, OIF
• MPN: 21.15.8757, EAN: 7611990125180

How to use

Route the duplex LC/LC cable between compatible LC ports on network devices, patch panels or transceivers. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid insertion loss or damage. Align the keyed LC connectors and insert until the latch clicks; for removal, depress the latch and pull straight out. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable to prevent strain; follow standard fiber handling procedures when installing in racks or conduits.

Recommendations

Use OM4 fiber for 10 Gbit/s and higher multimode links where extended reach or improved margin is required. For 1 Gbit/s or 100 Mbit/s links, OM4 performs similarly to OM2/OM3; choose OM4 when future upgrades to higher speeds are anticipated. Maintain clean connector endfaces and observe minimum bend radius to preserve performance.
