Cavo networking Dätwyler 21.05.0523 verde 2 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dätwyler 21.05.0523 Green 2m Cat6a S/FTP is a 2-metre network patch cable designed to support high-speed Ethernet connections. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this green cable is intended for reliable data transmission in demanding network environments and for clear visual identification in cable runs.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth applications. The Cat6a specification provides superior performance over Cat5e and Cat6 for frequencies up to 500 MHz. A 2 metre length offers flexibility for patching between switches, patch panels and workstations without excess slack. The RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with standard Ethernet ports while the coloured jacket helps with organisation and visual routing.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in data centres and server rooms
• Office network patching between switches, patch panels and desks
• Audio/video distribution and streaming over structured cabling
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 2 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Frequency rating: up to 500 MHz
• Colour: green

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports on network devices such as switches, routers, patch panels or network interface cards. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that cable routing does not exceed the recommended bend radius. For rack-mounted equipment, use appropriate cable management to avoid strain on connectors and to maintain shielding effectiveness. Test the link with network testing tools after installation to confirm proper signalling and throughput.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and maintain separation from sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Use the green colour to label or group related links for easier identification. When used in high-density or mission-critical installations, verify end-to-end performance with a qualified cable tester supporting Cat6a parameters.
