Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand Alcasa LW-U930LC 30 m 2x LC giallo

The Alcasa LW-U930LC InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 30 m 2x LC Yellow is a single-mode optical patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in fibre-based networks. It uses OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9 µm core diameter and LC duplex connectors on both ends. The cable length of 30 metres and yellow jacket make it suitable for data centre interconnects, server-to-switch links and other installations requiring low attenuation and stable signal quality over longer distances.

Advantages

The cable provides low insertion loss and low back reflection typical of OS2 single-mode fibres, supporting reliable InfiniBand and fibre-channel connectivity. LC duplex connectors offer compact, standardized terminations for dense patch panels. A 30 m length reduces the need for additional splices or intermediate patching in medium-sized rack and room layouts. The yellow outer jacket facilitates quick visual identification of single-mode fibres in multi-cable environments.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand links between switches and hosts
• Longer-distance patching inside data centres and server rooms
• High-speed point-to-point connections requiring single-mode fibre
• Dense patch panels and rack-mounted equipment with LC ports

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OS2 single-mode
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: 2x LC duplex (both ends)
• Cable length: 30 m
• Jacket colour: Yellow
• Typical use: Single-mode long-distance data transmission

How to use

Install the cable by connecting the LC duplex connectors to the corresponding LC ports on your InfiniBand adapters, switches or transceivers. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to minimise insertion loss; use appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Route the cable with gentle bends and avoid tight loops below the manufacturer's minimum bend radius to prevent microbending losses. Secure the cable along rack trays or cable management panels to reduce strain on connector ends.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, verify compatibility of transceivers and adapter modules with OS2 single-mode fibre and LC connectors. Keep protective dust caps on connectors when not in use. Periodic inspection and cleaning of connector endfaces will help maintain low attenuation and stable links, especially in high-density or frequently reconfigured installations.
