Matita Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100

The Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100 is a high-quality drawing pencil set designed for accurate lines and a wide variety of grey tones. The pencils feature a special lead formulation that produces a subtle metallic lustre and consistent results across graded hardnesses. Wood is sourced from PEFC-certified sustainably managed forests and the set provides reliable performance for writing, sketching and professional graphic applications.

Advantages

Special lead formulation and super-bonded cores increase break-resistance while maintaining smooth laydown and clear line reproduction. Available in finely graded degrees across a wide range from 12B to 10H, the set covers soft to hard hardnesses for shading, hatching and precise detail. Environmentally sourced PEFC-certified wood and recommended sharpeners ensure consistent sharpening and longevity of the pencils.

How to use

Select the desired hardness for the task: softer grades (B range) for rich shading and tonal work, harder grades (H range) for fine lines and technical details. Sharpen with a tub sharpener (recommended: Staedtler tub sharpener 511 001) or a metal sharpener (510 10) for optimal point quality. Use on paper or matt drawing film and vary pressure to control tone and line density.

Recommendations

Store pencils horizontally or in a pencil case to avoid breakage; use the appropriate hardness for each stage of your work and choose the recommended sharpener to maintain consistent points and reduce lead crumble.
