Obiettivo Irix Cine 11mm T4.3 L-Mount imperiale cinema

On a cramped indie set, the Irix Cine 11mm T4.3 L-mount lens lets the cinematographer capture the entire scene without moving the camera. Its 126° angle of view on full-frame sensors pulls every detail into frame, from the actor's expression to the gritty texture of the alley wall. The imperial focus scale, marked in feet, matches the workflow of crews who still think in inches and yards. Built from aluminum-magnesium alloy, the lens shrugs off the bumps of a run-and-gun shoot, while three rubber seals keep dust and moisture out when the weather turns. The 180° focus rotation gives the focus puller room to work precisely, and the 0.8 mod gear rings drop straight into standard follow-focus systems. This is a lens for filmmakers who need a wide perspective without compromise.

Why choose it

The Irix Cine 11mm T4.3 delivers an ultra-wide perspective with rectilinear correction, keeping straight lines straight—essential for architectural shots or any frame where distortion would ruin the illusion. The lens is built to withstand the rigors of professional use, with a robust aluminum-magnesium alloy body and weather sealing to protect against dust and moisture. Its 180° focus rotation and 0.8 mod gear rings ensure seamless integration with standard follow-focus systems, giving focus pullers the precision they need. Whether you're shooting a feature film, documentary, or commercial, this lens offers the optical quality and mechanical reliability that demanding productions require.

Ideal use cases

• Independent film productions requiring wide-angle coverage in tight spaces
• Architectural and real estate videography where straight lines must remain straight
• Documentary filmmaking in challenging environmental conditions
• Commercial shoots needing a dramatic, immersive perspective
• Run-and-gun setups where durability and quick focus adjustments are critical

Good to know

The Irix Cine 11mm T4.3 is part of Irix's cinema lens lineup, designed for full-frame L-mount cameras. Its imperial focus markings cater to crews accustomed to feet and inches, while the internal focusing mechanism prevents the lens from changing length during focus pulls, maintaining balance on gimbals and rigs. The 95mm front filter thread allows the use of standard cinema filters, and the 9-blade aperture produces pleasing bokeh when shooting wide open. With a close focus distance of just 0.27m, you can get remarkably close to your subject while still capturing the expansive background.
