Obiettivo Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 MILC nero

The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 is an ultra-wide-angle manual-focus lens for MILC cameras, offering a 115.7° angle of view and a minimum focusing distance of 0.28 m. It continues the optical tradition of the original 14mm while adding improved usability features such as focus lock, de-clickable aperture, weather sealing and an updated textured rubber focus ring. The lens construction uses 14 elements in 10 groups, including high-refractive, aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements to reduce aberrations and deliver clear, high-contrast images. Compact and lightweight for its class, it is suitable for landscapes, architecture and astrophotography.

Advantages

The MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 combines a very wide 115.7° field of view with strong optical correction provided by 14 elements in 10 groups, Ultra Multi-Coating to reduce flare and ghosting, and a 9-blade rounded aperture that produces pleasing bokeh and starburst effects. Mechanical upgrades include a focus lock to secure focus settings, a de-clickable aperture for smooth iris adjustments, improved weather sealing at the mount, and a micro-patterned rubber focus ring with a faster rotation angle for quicker manual control.

Suitable for

How to use

Mount the lens on a compatible MILC camera (Sony E mount). Use manual focus to compose and adjust focus; the focus ring has a micro-patterned rubber surface for improved grip and a wider rotation angle for quicker adjustment. If precise focus is required for astrophotography or time-lapse, engage the focus lock to prevent accidental changes. Select aperture using the aperture ring; switch the silver ring between "Click" and "Free" to enable a de-clicked (smooth) iris for silent or cine-style aperture control. Watch for vignetting at extreme angles and correct exposure and composition accordingly.

Recommendations

For best results in night and astrophotography, use a sturdy tripod, engage focus lock after focusing on stars, and use low-vibration shutter release or remote timer. When shooting in wet or dusty conditions, ensure the mount seal is intact and avoid exposing the rear element directly to heavy rain.
