Obiettivo cinema Samyang VDSLR 24mm T1.5 MK2 MILC nero

The Samyang VDSLR 24mm T1.5 MK2 is a compact cinema lens designed for MILC cameras with a fast T1.5 aperture. It features a 13/12 lens construction, covers full-frame sensor sizes, and offers a lightweight form factor suitable for handheld and gimbal shooting. The lens includes de-clicked aperture and long-focus throw, weather sealing, and readable side scales, making it suitable for professional video workflows. The lens has a 77 mm filter thread and is finished in matte black.

Advantages

The 24mm T1.5 MK2 delivers a fast T-stop for low-light shooting and shallow depth of field, while its 13/12 optical design with aspherical elements ensures reduced aberrations and clear image rendering. The de-clicked aperture and long focus throw provide smooth manual control for cinematic focus pulls. New features such as 9 aperture blades produce smooth bokeh and starburst highlights, and weather sealing protects the mount area from dust and light moisture.

Suitable for

• Documentary and run-and-gun filmmaking
• Gimbal and handheld video production
• Indie films and commercial video projects
• Low-light shooting and scenes requiring shallow depth of field

How to use

Mount the lens to your MILC camera using the Fujifilm X mount and secure it until the mount seal engages to benefit from the weather sealing. Use the de-clicked aperture ring to set the desired exposure smoothly; the long focus throw allows precise manual focusing during pulls. For handheld or gimbal setups, balance the camera and lens combination and use the readable side scales to assist follow-focus operation. Attach compatible 77 mm filters as needed for ND or protective purposes.

Recommendations

For optimal results in low light, set the aperture near T1.5 to maximise light intake while controlling exposure with ND filters. Use the long focus throw and side distance scales when performing manual focus pulls; stop down to smaller apertures to create starburst highlights when desired.
