Salewa donna Mountain Trainer 2 GTX scarpe da trekking - nero/Bungee Cord - EU 41

For women tackling technical alpine terrain, the Salewa Mountain Trainer 2 GTX delivers the grip, protection, and all-day comfort needed for via ferrata, rocky ridges, and demanding backpacking trips. The suede leather upper with a protective rubber rand shrugs off scree and abrasion, while the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort lining keeps feet dry without overheating. A Vibram WTC 2 outsole with self-cleaning lugs bites into mud, rock, and loose ground, and the Bilight dual-density EVA midsole cushions every step. The Salewa 3F System and climbing lacing with adaptive eyelets wrap the foot securely for precise edging and confident descents.

Why choose it

The Mountain Trainer 2 GTX is built for technical hiking where stability and durability matter most. The 3F System connects the instep, sole, and heel for a secure, flexible fit, while the anti-rock heel stabilizer reduces fatigue on uneven ground. The Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane offers breathable waterproofing, ideal for high-output activities in wet conditions. The Vibram outsole's self-cleaning lug pattern sheds mud and debris, maintaining traction on soft trails and rocky scrambles.

Ideal use cases

• Via ferrata and protected climbing routes
• Alpine trekking and backpacking with a heavy pack
• Technical day hikes over rocky, rooty, or muddy terrain
• Approach hikes to climbing crags
• Three-season mountain use, from spring thaw to autumn frost

Good to know

The suede leather upper is treated for water resistance, but regular care with a suitable conditioner will extend the boot's life. The Ortholite footbed is removable, allowing you to use custom orthotics if needed. The climbing lacing extends to the toe for a precise fit, and the adaptive eyelets reduce pressure points. With a standard fit, most women can wear their usual size; consider a thicker sock for winter use. The boot is resolable by a qualified cobbler, adding years of service.
