Cavo in fibra ottica InfiniBand BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC3M-HU-BO 3 m SFP+ aqua

The BlueOptics SFP-10G-AOC3M-HU-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 3 m SFP+ Aqua is a 3‑meter active optical cable with SFP+ connectors designed for short‑reach, high‑speed links. It uses multimode fiber with integrated transmitter and receiver modules on each end, providing a direct SFP+‑to‑SFP+ connection compliant with MSA form factor and supporting 10G data rates. The cable is intended for interconnecting switches, routers, servers and storage systems within racks and across adjacent rack rows where a 3 m link is required.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers a compact, low‑power way to establish 10G connections without separate transceiver modules and external patch cables. The integrated transceivers and multimode fiber deliver consistent 10GBASE‑SR performance over the 3 m distance while maintaining the SFP+ interface compatibility expected in data centre equipment. The fixed length and SFP+ male/male configuration reduce installation complexity and help keep cable management tidy in dense rack environments.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support SFP+ 10G AOC connections and that ports are enabled in device configuration. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required; the cable provides a ready‑to‑use direct link. Verify link status and speed from device management interfaces after insertion.

Recommendations

Use this 3 m BlueOptics AOC for short‑reach connections within racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends and mechanical strain on the cable and verify device compatibility with SFP+ AOCs before deployment. For longer distances or single‑mode requirements, select an appropriate alternative cable type.
