Cavo in fibra ottica METZ CONNECT 151J1EOJO10E 2x SC 2x LC OM3 1 m aqua

The METZ CONNECT 151J1EOJO10E is an OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable with a length of 1 m, equipped with 2x SC and 2x LC connectors and finished in aqua colour. Designed for short-range, high-bandwidth connections, this fibre cable supports multimode transmission using a 50 µm core diameter suitable for data centre links, server interconnects and structured cabling where OM3 performance is required.

Advantages

This 1 m OM3 cable offers multimode performance with a 50 µm core diameter and industry-standard SC and LC connectors on each end, providing compatibility with a wide range of networking equipment. The aqua jacket makes identification in multi-cable installations straightforward. Constructed for stable optical performance, the cable simplifies installation in racks, patch panels and active equipment while maintaining the multimode characteristics needed for short-distance, high-speed links.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1 m
• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connectors: 2x SC to 2x LC
• Colour: Aqua

How to use

Route the fibre cable between the two connection points, ensuring both ends are accessible and the connectors match the equipment ports (SC and LC). Avoid tight bends and kinks by following the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre; secure the cable in racks or trays to prevent strain on the connectors. Insert SC and LC connectors into their respective ports until they click or are seated firmly. Verify link status on connected devices and, if necessary, perform optical loss testing to confirm acceptable attenuation for the intended application.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM3 fibre cable in a clean environment, keep connector endfaces protected with dust caps until installation, and avoid excessive bending. For reliable performance in high-density installations, label both ends and follow standard patching practices to maintain network organisation and minimise insertion loss.
