Custodia elettrica Rittal 9521.000, poliammide/policarbonato IP66, 254×111×180 mm

Rittal 9521.000 is a compact electrical enclosure constructed from fibre-glass reinforced polycarbonate for the housing and polyamide for the base, offering IP66 protection. With external dimensions of 254 × 111 × 180 mm (width × depth × height) and the option of a grey or transparent cover, this enclosure is intended to protect small control components, terminal blocks and instruments from dust and powerful water jets in indoor and outdoor industrial environments.

Advantages

The combination of polycarbonate and polyamide materials provides mechanical strength, chemical resistance and dimensional stability across a wide temperature range. The IP66 rating ensures tight protection against dust and strong water ingress, while the compact footprint saves panel and mounting space. Availability with a transparent cover allows visual inspection of internal indicators without opening the enclosure.

How to use

Mount the enclosure on a suitable flat surface or panel using the recommended mounting points, taking care to maintain correct orientation for cable entries and conduit connections. Install internal components on the base or on supplied mounting bosses, ensuring adequate clearance for wiring and ventilation. Use compatible cable glands or conduit fittings for entries, and tighten the cover fasteners evenly to preserve the IP66 seal. For transparent covers, inspect indicator LEDs or displays through the cover; open the cover only after de-energising circuits when access is required.

Recommendations

Select cable glands and conduit entries rated for IP66 to maintain enclosure protection. Avoid exposing the enclosure to prolonged direct sunlight at elevated temperatures to reduce material ageing, and verify chemical compatibility when installed near aggressive substances. Regularly check seals and fasteners for integrity during preventive maintenance.
