Custodia elettrica Rittal KX 1553.000, acciaio, IP66, 150×120×150 mm

Rittal KX 1553.000 is a compact steel electrical enclosure with IP66 protection and external dimensions of 150×120×150 mm (W×D×H). It is designed to house and protect electrical and electronic components from dust ingress and powerful water jets, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor industrial environments. The enclosure features a robust steel construction, a secure door closure and mounting options for internal components, providing a durable solution for small control units, sensor junctions and terminal blocks.

Advantages

The steel housing provides mechanical strength and corrosion resistance under normal industrial conditions. IP66 rating ensures reliable protection against dust and strong water jets, allowing installation in exposed or washdown areas. Its compact footprint saves space and enables neat integration near machines or in confined panels. Standardised mounting features simplify fitting of DIN rails or small subpanels and reduce installation time.

How to use

Select a mounting location with adequate clearance for cable entry and servicing. Secure the enclosure to a suitable surface using the provided mounting points or recommended fasteners. Install internal mounting hardware such as DIN rails or subpanels, then fit components like terminal blocks, relays or small controllers. Route and secure cables through appropriate cable glands or conduit entries to maintain IP66 protection. Close and fasten the door ensuring the gasket seats correctly to preserve the enclosure’s ingress protection.

Recommendations

For long-term performance, avoid prolonged exposure to highly corrosive atmospheres and inspect seals periodically. Use compatible cable glands and connectors rated for IP66 to maintain protection. When installing outdoors, position the enclosure to minimise direct exposure to prolonged UV and heavy impact. Follow applicable electrical safety standards during installation and maintenance.
