Samyang 8mm T3.8 MFT VDSLR Fish-eye CSII obiettivo cine

Capturing expansive, immersive scenes on Micro Four Thirds cameras often means compromising on sharpness or dealing with cumbersome rigs. The Samyang 8mm T3.8 MFT VDSLR Fish-eye CSII solves this by delivering a remarkably wide 167° angle of view in a compact, manual cine lens built for precise control. Its de-clicked aperture and geared focus ring make it a reliable tool for video work, while the UMC coating ensures crisp, high-contrast images even in challenging light.

Who is it for

This lens is tailored for videographers and filmmakers using Micro Four Thirds systems who need an ultra-wide perspective without breaking the bank. It's equally suited to photographers exploring creative fisheye distortion, from action sports to architectural abstracts. The manual focus and aperture design demand a deliberate approach, making it ideal for those who value hands-on control over autofocus convenience.

Tips

To get the most from this fisheye, experiment with placing your subject close to the lens to exaggerate perspective. For video, pair it with a follow-focus system to take advantage of the geared rings, and use the de-clicked aperture to adjust exposure smoothly mid-shot. Keep the built-in hood attached to protect the bulbous front element and reduce stray light.
