Cavo in fibra ottica BlueOptics EFE080-0050M-R-BO LC LC/UPC G.657.A1 50 m giallo

The BlueOptics EFE080-0050M-R-BO fibre optic cable is a single-mode patch cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over a 50 metre reach. It uses LC/UPC connectors on both ends and complies with ITU-T G.657.A1 standards, featuring a 9 µm core diameter for low attenuation and improved bend performance. The cable's yellow sheath provides standard colour coding for single-mode networks, simplifying identification and cable management in data centres and telecommunication racks.

Advantages

This single-mode fibre cable offers consistent optical performance with low insertion loss and back reflection due to LC/UPC connectors and a 9 µm core. Compliance with G.657.A1 ensures better bend resistance compared with older single-mode types, allowing tighter routing in confined spaces. The 50 m length accommodates medium-distance links without additional splicing, and the yellow outer jacket makes tracing and organising cabling runs straightforward.

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools to avoid contamination. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tensile stress; respect manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius to maintain optical performance. Plug LC connectors into corresponding LC ports on transceivers, patch panels or equipment, ensuring secure seating. For longer runs or permanent installations, use proper strain relief and cable management accessories to prevent microbending and mechanical damage.

Recommendations

Use compatible LC/UPC transceivers and maintain clean connector endfaces for optimal signal quality. For installations with restricted space, leverage the G.657.A1 bend-insensitive characteristic but still observe minimum bend radius guidelines. Label both ends of the 50 m cable to simplify future maintenance and avoid unnecessary disconnection during reconfiguration.
