Cavo in fibra ottica LOGON AL5SCSC03I/4I OM4, 3 m, 2x SC–2x SC, 50 µm, rosa

LOGON AL5SCSC03I/4I OM4 is a 3 m multimode fibre optic patch cable with a 50 µm core diameter and dual SC connectors on both ends (2x SC to 2x SC). Engineered for short-range, high-speed data links, this OM4 cable offers low attenuation and consistent multimode transmission suitable for data centre connections, InfiniBand and fibre channel interconnects. The cable’s bright pink jacket provides easy identification in dense cabling environments and helps reduce mispatching during installation or maintenance.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode construction delivers higher bandwidth and improved performance for 850 nm transmission compared with lower graded multimode fibres, enabling more reliable short-reach links. With standard SC duplex-style terminations on both ends, the cable supports simple, repeatable connections to switches, transceivers and patch panels. The 3 m length is convenient for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patch-panel runs while the 50 µm core maintains compatibility with common multimode transceivers.

Suitable for

• Short-range data centre interconnects and rack cabling
• InfiniBand and fibre channel links between servers and switches
• Patch panels, optical distribution frames and media converters
• Environments requiring colour-coded fibre management

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 3 m
• Connector configuration: 2x SC to 2x SC
• Connector gender: male/male (SC)
• Jacket colour: pink
• Application: short-reach high-speed links, multimode transceivers

How to use

Route the cable following standard fibre handling practices: avoid tight bends, excessive pulling force and compression. Remove protective dust caps from SC connectors before insertion and insert connectors into SC ports until they click into place. Use the 3 m length to connect equipment within racks or between adjacent racks; secure the cable with appropriate cable management to prevent strain. When disconnecting, press the SC latch and pull straight out to avoid nicking the ferrule.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use with compatible multimode transceivers and ensure connector end-faces are clean before mating. Maintain bend radii above manufacturer minimums and label or document the pink colour coding in your patching schema to streamline maintenance and fault finding.
